With great pleasure, I invite you to attend the ISCFS XIII Biennial International
Congress.
This will take place in Oxford, England, United Kingdom, from 26 September
to 30 September, 2009.
For the first time, the ISCFS Congress will incorporate the Paris Distraction Symposium,
which will take place on Saturday, 26 September.
The overall theme of the meeting will be Controversies and Consensus within craniofacial care.
Forty-two years
after the subspecialty of Craniofacial Surgery was established by
Dr. Paul Tessier at the historic 1967 International
Confederation for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
meeting in Rome, we will use this interdisciplinary Congress to explore current controversies and identify areas of consensus within the field. We aspire to reach all members of the craniofacial care teams,
both Surgical and in all allied disciplines.
The Congress will be held in the historic city of Oxford, with its world famous University and multitude of
attractions-cultural, academic, and social.
Plan now to attend what is certain to be a scientifically stimulating meeting.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Steven Arthur Wall,
MBBCh (rand) FRCS FRCPCH FCS (SA) plast
ISCFS President, 2007-2009
